Welcome
… to Germany’s most comprehensive museum dedicated to the history of inland shipping. Located in the former Ruhrort bathhouse, a charming building combining historicist and Art Nouveau elements, our museum is situated directly on the Rhine River and at the world’s largest inland port.

The Way
A themed trail leads you from the museum along the towpath to our historic fleet, moored below the Shippers’ Exchange in Ruhrort.
