We offer exclusive tours on special topics such as Duisburg’s ports, hydraulic engineering, museum architecture, museum history, women in inland shipping, and more.
We are also happy to accommodate your individual requests. Guided tours in English, Dutch, and French are also possible upon request.
We offer special senior tours and children’s tours with the themes “Sinking and Floating – Experiments in the Water Laboratory” and “Little Sailors on Board in the Museum – with a Craft Activity”.
From now on, the ticket “Experience Packages for Everyone” (museum, museum ships, and harbor cruise) can be booked again, also in combination with a guided tour.

Guided Tours
Experience the Museum of German Inland Shipping with a group tour.
Combine your visit with a guided tour through the exciting and informative exhibition in the former Art Nouveau swimming pool with an experienced expert.
The tour lasts about one hour.
Please register as early as possible, but at least two weeks in advance. Then your desired date will also work!
In addition to the guided tours, we offer particularly favorable combination packages with a harbor cruise.

Our guides speak Dutch, English and French. Please indicate explicitly when booking if you would like a guided tour in a foreign language – and in which one!

for group tours During opening hours Tuesday to Friday: 40 Euro
Saturday, Sunday, public holiday: 50 Euro
Outside opening hours: 100 Euro
Guided tours for children and youth aged 6 to 17 years and school classes: 40 Euro
Foreign language guided tours During opening hours Tuesday to Friday: 60 Euro
Saturday, Sunday, public holiday: 70 Euro
Outside opening hours: 120 Euro
Public tours every Sunday, 1:00 pm: 1 Euro + admission fee
Guided tours for registered groups on the museum ships are also possible during the winter months when the museum is closed, depending on the weather. Cost: 100 Euro
